Air Force One – the presidential aircraft of the United States – during John F. Kennedy’s visit to Germany in June 1963. Kennedy traveled from June 23 to 26, 1963 to several locations in the Federal Republic of Germany as well as West Berlin. The visit took place in the context of the Cold War and was regarded as a visible commitment by the USA to the security of West Germany and divided Berlin.
