The Historiathek – Image Database on the Nazi Era is a collection of documentary photos produced during the reign of National Socialism. This database offers insights into everyday life during this era and serves professional film productions as a basis for their own documentary films. The Historiathek film material can be licensed through us for your own use.

zb Media GmbH offers film material and photos from the Third Reich era for the purposes of political education, scientific and art-historical research or teaching and documentary reporting on contemporary events in print, film, TV or online media. The licensed material may only be acquired for journalistic or academic purposes and may not be used in any way for propaganda purposes, in particular within the meaning of Section 86a of the German Criminal Code (use of symbols of anti-constitutional and terrorist organisations).

The database contains entries on a range of photos and films, including propaganda films, documentaries and newsreels, which were produced during the Nazi era.
