With the Americans on the front in New Guinea. News of the day. Scenes of the advance of US troops from Kokoda through the jungles of New Guinea to the Japanese bases at Buna and Gona, shelling of Japanese positions by US light guns and bombing of a US supply vehicle by Japanese aircraft from Rabaul, which blows up. Also shown are New Guinea natives bringing in US wounded, a US cruiser sinking two Japanese destroyers, and Japanese prisoners on the deck of the cruiser.
