During his visit to Germany from June 23 to 26, 1963, U.S. President John F. Kennedy drove through the streets in an open car, accompanied by a motorcycle escort and jubilant crowds. The photograph shows the enthusiastic atmosphere that characterized Kennedy’s visit to the Federal Republic and West Berlin.
