Ten years after the end of the war, reconstruction and the emerging economic miracle (Wirtschaftswunder) shape the cityscape, while West and East Berlin increasingly diverge politically and economically. As part of a photographic survey of the divided city, the photograph documents the everyday life and lived experience of this transformative era in the Cold War.
