The Conservatoire des Gosses de la Butte was a music school founded in 1940 under the direction of Olga Regnault on Place du Tertre in Montmartre, Paris. The aim of this institution was to introduce children to the local chansons of Montmartre and thus preserve the cultural heritage of the neighbourhood.
The school was located in the heart of Montmartre, a neighbourhood known for its rich artistic and musical history. The Place du Tertre was and still is a favourite meeting place for artists and musicians, and the founding of the Conservatoire helped to keep this tradition alive.
Although the Conservatoire des Gosses de la Butte no longer exists, its history remains an interesting chapter in the cultural development of Montmartre and Paris as a whole.
