In June 1963, U.S. President John F. Kennedy visited the Federal Republic of Germany. The four-day visit from June 23 to 26, 1963 took Kennedy to Cologne, Bonn, Frankfurt, Wiesbaden, Hanau, and West Berlin and was marked by transatlantic solidarity during the Cold War.
