During his state visit to Germany from June 23–26, 1963, U.S. President John F. Kennedy encountered security and police forces at various stops. The title locates the scene in West Berlin, where Kennedy arrived on June 26 and visited, among other sites, Tempelhof Airport. The police officers wear the typical white uniform with motorcycle helmet and protective goggles, as was customary for protective details and reception ceremonies. In the background, American and German flags are visible, underscoring the official nature of the visit.
