In the spring of 1944, allied forces of various branches of service and nations concentrated on the south English coast for the imminent invasion of Normandy. Jack Lieb documented this preparation phase as one of the few cameramen shooting in color. The footage was recorded during embarkation preparations before Lieb crossed to Utah Beach together with a seaborne element of the 82nd Airborne Division.
