This still image is from the color film “D-Day to Germany” by U.S. newsreel cameraman Jack Lieb, who in 1944 documented the Allied invasion of Normandy and the Allied advance into Germany with a 16-mm Kodachrome camera. The color footage is particularly notable because most recordings of the same events are in black and white.
