D-Day. This still image is from the color film “D-Day to Germany” by US newsreel cameraman Jack Lieb, who in 1944 documented with a 16-mm Kodachrome camera the Allied invasion in Normandy and the Allied advance into Germany. The color footage is particularly notable in that most recordings of the same events are in black and white.
