The still shows a narrow inner-city street in Rothenburg ob der Tauber, filmed from a moving vehicle. On both sides, multi-story townhouses and commercial buildings with pitched roofs and partly Gothic round-arched portals line the street. In the background, the choir of a Gothic church with a tall tracery window is visible, presumably St. James Church. Pedestrians enliven the sidewalks, and a motor vehicle drives ahead of the camera through the alley. The travel film uses this tracking shot to capture the medieval character of Rothenburg — the well-preserved old town was already considered a central destination of German tourism by 1937.
