D-Day. This still image comes from the color film “D-Day to Germany” by U.S. newsreel cameraman Jack Lieb, who documented the Allied invasion of Normandy and the Allied advance into Germany in 1944 using a 16-mm Kodachrome camera. The color footage is particularly notable in that most recordings of the same events are in black and white.
