This still image is from the color film “D-Day to Germany” by US newsreel cameraman Jack Lieb, who documented the Allied invasion of Normandy and the Allied advance into Germany in 1944 with a 16-mm Kodachrome camera. The color footage is particularly noteworthy insofar as most photographs of the same events are in black and white.
