Pete Carroll, D-Day Correspondent. This still comes from the color film “D-Day to Germany” by U.S. newsreel cameraman Jack Lieb, who documented the Allied invasion in Normandy in 1944 and the Allied advance into Germany using a 16-mm Kodachrome camera. The color footage is particularly significant in that most recordings of the same events are in black and white.
