St. Paul’s Cathedral, London, May. This still image is from the color film “D-Day to Germany” by US newsreel cameraman Jack Lieb, who documented the Allied invasion in Normandy in 1944 with a 16-mm Kodachrome camera and the Allied advance into Germany. The color footage is particularly notable in that most photographs of the same events are in black and white.
