This still image is from the color film “D-Day to Germany” by US newsreel cameraman Jack Lieb, who documented the Allied invasion of Normandy and the advance of the Allies into Germany in 1944 using a 16-mm Kodachrome camera. The color footage is particularly noteworthy because most photographs of the same events are in black and white.
