Jack Lieb filmed numerous war correspondents and participants in southern England in the weeks before D-Day, where Allied forces were preparing for the invasion. Larry O’Reilly was among the persons whom Lieb captured during this phase with his private 16-mm Kodachrome camera. These recordings from southern England form the opening of Lieb’s film and document the environment of the embarkation that led to the landing in Normandy in June 1944.
