This still image comes from the color film “D-Day to Germany” by US newsreel cameraman Jack Lieb, who documented the Allied invasion of Normandy in 1944 and the Allied advance into Germany using a 16-mm Kodachrome camera. The color footage is particularly noteworthy in that most recordings of the same events are in black and white.
